Amazing wire sculptures by self-taught artist, illustrator and designer Gavin Worth. By bending black wire into something of freestanding line drawings, he creates sculptures that engage the viewer by involving them in their subtle changes. When the light in the room shifts, so does the mood of the piece. A breeze might softly move an arm. His wire sculptures tell stories of simple human moments: a woman adjusting her hair, a face gazing from behind tightly wrapped arms, a mother gently cradling her baby. The honest, unguarded moments are the ones that he finds to be the most beautiful.

These beetle-vases are made by the two German artists Beate Reinheimer and Ulrike Rehm, known under the name RaR - established in 2010. All of these porcelain beetles are each coloured and glazed with a different effect and are actually wall-mounted vases that measure between 29 and 37 cm in length. The collection is made for Thomas Eyck, a dutch publisher and distributer of exclusive contemporary design products.

How we built a labyrinth of salt that was part of the setup of Boris Pecigoš’ exhibition / installation to celebrate the Winter Solstice and the Natural New Year. How it looked the first night, and how the second night. See photos of construction of this interesting labyrinth called “Gate of the Universe” and the unusual presentation of paintings from the cycle “The Mystical Numbers”.

That was a magic moment that you captured with your conscious presence, or you missed it like so many magical moments life brings to us and that last only a blink of an eye, like a rainbow, sunset, shooting stars or a friend’s smile. When we look at the floor while rushing to do what the system requires of us every day, these moments often pass unnoticed, or rather, we pass by them like a blind men. That impoverishes us. Several photographs and video footage are just pale reflections of those magical reality. Boris Pecigoš made this event intentionally limited to only two evenings. Who caught the magic grabbed it, who did not, did not.

The author Boris Pecigoš would like to thank Jasenka Šturman and Damir Barušić for their generous assistance and help with the exhibition / installation from the first moments until the final act of throwing salt into the river. Thanks to Snježana Šanjić from Apali Center for having hosted the exhibition. Also the author gives thanks to all the visitors who have decided to take a moment of their time to attend the event and enrich it by their personal energy, which they brought into the labyrinth by passing through it several times in order to fully experience it, along with paintings. Also he gives thanks to the dancers who have embellished the event by their moving on the music, beside and through the labyrinth illuminated only by candles. Particular thanks go to Jasenka Šturman who raised this event to heights that even the author did not hoping for, by her spontaneous fairy dancing through the labyrinth.
